IANVS: Decommissioning process starting on 2026-07-13
Dear IANVS users,
this is a reminder that we will decommission the IANVS cluster starting on July 13th, 2026. The data will be available in our backup system until July 12th, 2027 (1 year from the start of decommissioning).
Please note that the last backup run of the /home partition will be started on 2026-07-11 20:00 (upcoming Saturday 8pm). Consequently, any data on /home that is being created/modified after this date will not be part of a backup. The backed up data will be available in our backup system until 2027-07-11 (one year after the last backup run).
In order to be able to backup the /scratch filesystem at all, we have switched it to readonly mode. Backups of data on /scratch can only be provided on a best-effort basis.
We would also like to remind you to notify us via email if you want to migrate your data to the new cluster.
Jobs will be able to run until July 5th, 9am. If your job is stuck with a reason of “(Reservation)”, please make sure that it does not go over the time limit.
